Brush-painted Nejiri-Ume Porcelain Teapot Twisted Plum

Made in =Hasami area in Nagasaki=, Hakusan Touki’s porcelain is well known for its good design, high quality tableware. Hasami area is known for its China manufacturing, which is made possible through the use of the fine and strong Amakusa porcelain stone. Nejiri-Ume series is hand brush-painted using the traditional technique called te-dami. The dark indigo blue part is carefully hand-painted by brush - the traces of hand paint can be seen on the surface. The motif of plum is gently twisted, and imbricated petals gives impression of harmony and oneness.
